"Tom Atkins Blues" was completed with the help of a small investment scheme. We want to pursue this way of financing films.
In the world of low-budget indie films, there is a slackening grip of the elite on what gets green-lit. The nurturing of self-expression, as well as the collapse of the cost of entry into this world through the advent of digital technology, means self- and crowd-funding is now commonplace. With digital projections, internet platforms and video-on-demand providing an ever widening distribution network, the possibilities for low budget story-telling are rapidly expanding.
So far we have raised € 10,800 from private sources; friends, colleagues and patrons of the arts. However we still need to raise another € 4,200 to complete shooting. We will also need financing for the post-production.
Anyone investing € 500 Euros or more, will be offered an investment contract for a percentage of any profits related to the sum invested.
